The Peabody Awards celebrated musician, Oscar-winning filmmaker, and activist Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson with the 2025 Trailblazer Award during an intimate event at The Sun Rose Hotel in Los Angeles on October 10, 2025. The evening paid tribute to Questlove’s transformative influence across music, film, and culture. Actor, writer, and producer Quinta Brunson presented Questlove with the award, which was then followed by an impactful conversation with Peabody Awards Executive Director Dr. Jeffrey Jones.
The Peabody Trailblazer Award recognizes visionaries whose innovative storytelling styles impact culture and effect social change. Questlove joins an esteemed group of recipients that includes Quinta Brunson and inaugural honoree Issa Rae. The event was presented by Dropbox, with Onyx Collective and Amazon serving as supporting sponsors.
