Outstanding Public Service by a Local Station: The award for outstanding public service by a local station goes to station KOAC, Corvalis, Oregon, for the program, Our Hidden Enemy—Venereal Disease, which, in the words of the U.S. Surgeon General, “has made a unique and valuable contribution.” These programs were prepared by Dr. Charles Baker, a leading syphologist, for the University of Kentucky. KOAC has the distinction of being the first to accept this courageous series.
