Happily, in Faerie Tale Theatre, Showtime provides an opportunity for the whole family to enjoy timeless stories of excitement, intrigue, and adventure, presented in a delightfully entertaining manner. A showcase for some of our finest actors, from Vanessa Redgrave to Vincent Price, the series recaptures the classics for a new generation. Executive Producer Shelley DuVall and Producers Bridget Terry and Fred Fuchs are to be commended for bringing unusual inventiveness, enthusiasm and wit to the barren landscape of family television programming. In recognition of that achievement, a Peabody Award to Showtime for Faerie Tale Theatre.
