The events in Fargo certainly feel true.
Fargo, the television series, is not a remake of the Coen Brother’s Oscar-winning film, but rather a familial reimagining of themes recognizable, yet refreshing, to that now classic film’s august fan base.
Fargo’s producers and showrunner Noah Hawley challenged the very notion of ‘adaptation’ by re-inventing the storyline while faithfully replicating the aesthetic experience of the original film; the show’s snow-dark nightscapes and blood-splattered moments bring a parade of droll midwesterners determined to return their town to some kind of deep winter normalcy.
