The Peabody Awards and The Center for Media & Social Impact’s “We Disrupt This Broadcast” Podcast Honored with Gold Signal Award

ATHENS, GA, AND WASHINGTON, DC, OCTOBER 16, 2025… The podcast “We Disrupt This Broadcast,” co-created and co-produced by the Peabody Awards and the Center for Media & Social Impact, has won a Signal Award for excellence in podcasting.  The prestigious podcast was awarded a Gold honor in the Arts & Culture category of the Signal Awards, which pay homage to a distinguished list of storytellers, reporters, creators and innovators who represent the very best of what podcasting can be.  Other big winners at the Signals this year include Kelce brothers’ podcast, “New Heights,” Keke Palmer’s eponymous podcast, “All There Is with Anderson Cooper” and “DC High Volume: Batman.”

“We Disrupt This Broadcast” focuses on entertainment storytelling that reflects the pressing issues and leading—and disruptive—creative voices of our day, along with conversations with leading academics, journalists, and other experts that help explain how and why these stories influence our real lives.  From intimate interviews with award-winning TV creatives to real talk with experts, “We Disrupt This Broadcast” highlights the inner workings and cultural relevance of the shows that are changing all the rules and shaping the future.

Past podcast guests have included actors Ben Stiller, Adam Scott, Mo Amer and Ramy Youssef, and Emmy Award-winning creators/showrunners Bill Lawrence, Brett Goldstein, Damon Lindelof, Charlie Brooker and Quinta Brunson.  Season three of “We Disrupt This Broadcast” launches in January 2026, distributed via public media organization PRX and found in all podcast platforms.
